The Trap Of Believing Your Own Thoughts.

Your mind can be a real pain in the neck. And I know this because my mind has been a real pain in my neck too, and so is the mind of most people.

Our mind being a pain in the neck is ok, because leading a full, purposeful, joyful life does not mean having a calm peaceful mind, it’s whether or not you allow it to control your life.

Negative thoughts themselves are not the problem, its the power we give them.

You can choose to believe them, treating them as concrete facts and then try to move forward stuck in that concrete. You can take those negative thoughts and the uncomfortable feelings that they bring up for you as “proof” that you are disempowered, and that the situation is out of your control, and this is not true. Negative thinking and having low vibrational thoughts can be like any other habit that needs time and commitment to change it.

As long as you realise the thoughts that are negative and are trying to draw you down a rabbit hole, are not you! Acknowledge them and choosing to choose a more beneficial thought instead is the first step and this takes practice.

It is all about finding a way to reclaim your life from your thoughts.

Here are some ways you can do that:

1. Take steps to manage your wellbeing and self-care. Neuroscience says that when or bodies or minds are in certain states or moods, we tune into those thoughts and ideas that make those moods, so doing things for ourselves, nurturing ourselves, helps so much with our though process.

2. Acknowledge that there are difficult moments and ups and downs, however moving in to a place of finding a solution rather than worry is much more productive.

3. Ask yourself: Are these my thoughts? Am I picking up someone else’s negative though process, this easily happens after conversations or interactions.

Also, you don’t have to go through this journey alone. I can help you. If you are finding your thoughts are running the show or keeping you stuck, please contact me, I can share tip, tricks and strategies and we can also investigate any underlying cause for this pattern of over or negative thinking.
