Finding peace in the not knowing!
Finding peace in the not knowing is my own big challenge. I am a planner, I love planning, it comes naturally and easily to me as it is part of my human design. So, I'm in my element when I am asked to plan holidays, events etcetera. However, we are at the start of a new year, and my diary planner looks back at me with uncertainty.
I know this is a year of change for me across all aspects of my life and as much as I am ready and excited about it, what that looks like I don't know! I have been here many times over the years and I've also been here with clients. I have learned that this is only a temporary situation and when it starts to get stressful or causes unease, it is us needing to control the narrative.
When we accept that there are things we cannot predict or change, we allow flow and open the way for better things to come, and this has been my experience.
When I step back and move into that place of “wondering” rather than controlling or having to be definite about things, I make space for guidance and ideas. Some of these ideas and guidance might not make sense to you now but write them down and don't dismiss them as you will come back to them at a later stage.
Take this time to decide. Decide what you would like to see this year for you. The “I don't know place” can be a place of hiding or waiting, the I don't know statement needs to be followed by a “yet”. Change can be scary, but it is necessary to move forward.
So, ask the Universe for what you want, then go into everyday with a positive mindset and expectation that you will be shown the way and given the tools you need to have a great year. In the meantime, find blessings in your everyday and trust in yourself and your inner wisdom.
True peace comes from experiencing every day fully moment by moment.
